THE LODGE
BUILT
IN 1910
The Manse started life as part of the historic Maraekakaho sheep station. The owner, Sir Douglas Maclean made land available for a Manse, and a fine colonial home was built in 1910 for the Presbyterian minister, Rev. Mr Catherwood.
The sweeping views from The Manse today are as stunning as ever, looking across vineyards and countryside, the Ngaruroro River and up to the Ruahine and Kaweka mountains.
Everything here is generous and comfortable with beautifully appointed bedroom suites, antiques and artworks, sweeping verandahs, a fitness room, library, large pool, lush, green gardens and a gentleman’s farm. A quiet, relaxing space around every corner.
